Arthur H. Gifford, Jr. CPA, Managing Principal After over 30 years of public accounting experience, primarily dealing with privately owned businesses and individuals, Art now focuses on the wealth management needs of his clients. Years of experience and network contacts enable Art to offer creative and practical solutions for privately held businesses and individuals. As a consultant for many of the Atlanta's top business executives and professionals, Art is able to provide investment and financial services advice for almost any need.
Art's career started on the audit staff of Ernst & Ernst and Arthur Young & Company (now Ernst & Young). In January 1980 he, George Hillegass, and Dick Ingwersen organized Gifford, Hillegass & Ingwersen, P.C., where he continues to practice as a CPA. Art is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants. Art graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and entered the accounting profession in May 1967. Later he attended graduate school at Georgia State University. In November 1999 Art passed the Series 65 NASD Exam to become a Registered Investment Advisor.

Terry P. Hartigan CFP®, Principal Terry began his career as a financial adviser managing the private wealth and business affairs of a local family in 1993. In 1997, he formed Hartigan Financial Advisory, Inc. to serve the demand for fee-only financial planning and investment management consulting in an independent, conflict-free environment. In September 2002, Terry joined the accounting and advisory firm of Gifford, Hillegass & Ingwersen, P.C. as a senior manager in the tax department.
Terry has been a featured guest on CNBC's "Power Lunch". He is a member of the Georgia Chapter of the Financial Planning Association and a member of the Southeastern Hedge Fund Association. He graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance. In May of 1997, he completed the CFP Professional Education Program through the College for Financial Planning in Denver, Colorado. In September of 1997, Terry earned his Certified Financial Planner designation and completed the Series 65 NASD Exam.
Terry was recently name a 2009 Five Star Wealth Manager: Best in Client Satisfaction by Atlanta Magazine and Crescendo Business Services in the October 2009 edition of the magazine. The individuals who receive this award are selected based on a rigorous research process and represent less than 4% of Wealth Managers in the Atlanta area.

Joseph A. Gifford CFP®, Principal Joe is a financial advisor and licensed registered investment adviser. He advises clients how to properly establish and allocate personal and retirement assets. Joe assists clients with day to day activities including account setup, transfers, and investment decisions. After graduating in 1996 from Auburn University with a Bachelors of Administration in Finance, Joe has worked in various positions within the financial services industry. He worked for one year on the new accounts desk at INVESCO and then spent three years with Morgan Stanley Dean Witter as a financial advisor before joining Ashwood Advisors, LLC in December of 1999. Joe has his series 65, as well as insurance licenses for accident and sickness and life. Joe received his Certified Financial Planner designation in September of 2004. Joe is a member of the Georgia Chapter of the Financial Planning Association.

Christin M. Hunter, Financial Associate Christin earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the University of Georgia in 2004. She joined Ashwood Advisors, LLC in September 2006 and comes to the firm with sales, marketing and project management experience. Today her responsibilities include the supervision of account transactions as well as new account set-ups and transfers. She plans to take the Series 65 NASD Exam in 2008.
